Study findings on how OLL2712 lactic acid bacteria affects fat

In this study, a pool of 100 healthy and mildly obese adults with relatively high BMIs (25-30 kg/m2) were equally divided into two groups (each consisting of 50 individuals), of which one was served a pack of yogurt containing OLL2712 lactic acid bacteria every day for 12 weeks while the other was served the same amount of yogurt at the same frequency simultaneously but without any OLL2712 lactic acid bacteria in it.

When the two groups were compared at the end of the period, it was found that the yogurt containing OLL2712 lactic acid bacteria had the effect of reducing abdominal fat (total abdominal fat) significantly more in the individuals that consumed it than in the individuals that ate the yogurt not containing any OLL2712 lactic acid bacteria (Figure 1).
