During the toddler years, children tend to play with their food or eat inconsistently, often resulting in vitamin and mineral deficiencies. By drinking 400ml of Meiji Step daily, children between the ages of 12 months and 36 months can obtain more than 70%*1 of their recommended dietary allowances or adequate intakes for 15 kinds of vitamins and minerals, based on the Dietary Reference Intakes for Japanese, 2015 edition.
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is well known as a lipid found in large quantities in tuna and other fatty fish. It is one of the nutrients that is important to consume in adequate amounts because it supports development during the toddler years. DHA is not found in cow’s milk. Meiji Step, on the other hand, is formulated with 40mg of DHA per 400ml serving.
